Volunteering

Our parent, community, and student volunteers work throughout the year to ensure that music education is supported and funded at the highest levels for all Chelmsford music students. These volunteers help ensure that CFOM not only raises funds but our events focus on having a positive direct impact on our local community.

We welcome new faces & fresh ideas to continue our mission of helping to ensure the best possible music program for the Chelmsford Public Schools. Please consider volunteering with us!

Student Volunteers

Students who volunteer at CFOM sponsored fundraisers or events can earn community service hours toward CFOM scholarship & award qualifications. These hours can often be used to meet community service requirements for other organizations.

Use our Volunteer Hours Look-up table to check the number of service hours a student has accrued volunteering for CFOM.

Volunteer Leaders

We always need volunteers who are willing to take on additional responsibilities for planning and executing our events, as well as shepherding our organization. Some examples of leadership roles we have or have had in the past include:

  • Executive Board Member (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer)
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Hospitality Coordinator (Event Snack Table)
  • Bottle & Can Drive Coordinator
  • Instrument Donation Coordinator

If you have the time or the skills to lend to us, we will be truly grateful. Please reach out to our current board via email (chelmsfordfriendsofmusic@gmail.com) to discuss how you can contribute.
